Google and Samsung Electronics companies, decided to launch a monthly updates to fill the security gaps in phones running Android operating system.
This change came after security researcher Joshua Drake revealed what he called piracy system (Stajeffrayt), which allows an attacker to broadcast multimedia Android phones for private messages, and access to accurate content even without opening the message.
Adrian Ludwig senior security experts said to the Android system in the annual security conference (Black Hat) in Las Vegas this week, "we realized that we need to move faster."
In the past, Google has been the evolution of package updates and distribute their own phones (Nieksas) after the discovery of a security flaw.
But the rest of the manufacturers had been waiting until the need to perform an update for various reasons before pushing for modernization, which was most of the Android system displays users that the more than one billion to the risk of hacking or manipulation of the pending update.
Ludwig said that the improvements of modern versions of Android will limit the effectiveness of attacks in more than nine phones out of every ten phones, but Drake said that the attacker may remain even try maneuvers succeed.
Drake said he would launch rules to address the attacks by August 24, which puts pressure on manufacturers to release updates before that date.
Ludwig said Nieksas phones will be updated in order to protect them this week, and the vast majority of manufacturers of mobile operating system Android will do so successively.
